How are you only gonna get 5 note 7s in shipment? That's like sending 5 gallons of water to Flint...All that's gonna do is get people mad... Lol

It's still the responsibility of Best Buy as the 3rd party seller to communicate with Samsung whoever to get the right shipment. If they can't coordinate that with Samsung or whoever fulfills their orders, then they have shouldn't be accepting preorders because they cannot offer any sort of guarantee nor timeframe.

Preorder status

I preoreder a Note7 on 8/3 and haven't received an email to pick it up, nor have I been notified when I can expect it to be ready, either today or any other day. Is there some way to find out when I can expect my preorder to be ready?

I agreed but there is nothing we can do. If we cancel and go to the carrier it would be two weeks. I ordered mine on fifth and they had two weeks of preorder so we will get ours next week. No use in letting it wreck our weekend. I'm a cell junkie too but nothing we can do

Hello jgwentz-

 

Best Buy bases the number of pre-orders that we take on the number of phones that Samsung and the carriers tell us we will receive on release date.  It would not make any sense for Best Buy to deliberately cause customer disappointment by knowingly taking more pre-orders than we knew we could fulfill.

 

I apologize if we end up not being able to fulfill your pre-order on release date, we will certainly work to get more inventory from Samsung and the other carriers as quickly as we can to fulfill our pre-orders.

I didn't have a deposit I added the att online through Best Buy site and choose preorder and choose plan. And I just was charged for the sales tax for the next plan. Then when Best Buy adds my line I just go pick up the phone from the front. Don't have to deal with anyone but the pickup person

So Allan based in your response, no one under AT&T is getting their units on release day even though they ordered on the 3rd but people from other carriers are getting theirs? It doesn't makes sense in your answer why only at&t people are not getting their units.

Preordering with bestbuy will guarantee you a phone, but not a date you will get it.
