Hello jesmann,

 

When placing a pre-order an authorization request will be submitted to your bank at some point to very that the funds are readily available. However those should only appear as pending and not a full charge. Depending who you bank with they may handle pending charges differently. Mine personally deduct that pending value from my overall available balance whereas others may not.

 

However you should not see an actually charge on your account until the order has begun its fulfillment process. I would recommend contacting your bank just to verify what charges are still pending and what has actually been deducted. Alternatively, feel free to send me a private message with your order numbers and I’d be more than happy to review them and make sure everything is on the up and up! I know technology isn’t perfect and glitches can happen.

I attempted to send a private message but was given an error that said I reached the limit on sending private messages. I have two orders and four pending charges with the bank.

Since the only option during pre-order was to pick it up at the store (dont know why it couldn't be shipped), will I be able to apply a gift card that I forgot to apply during check out at the store when I pick it up? Or, could I still apply that gift card to my current order now since it is still in the received stage?

I'm hoping Javier has a great update for us today since various internet sources look like Sprint, T-mobile and Samsung direct may be shipping today as Sprint people have tracking numbers, Samsung orders are no longer able to be cancelled and T-mobile is processing the credit cards this morning.

When I pre-ordered my S9+ BB sent the usual authorization to my bank and the funds were held for a few days and released per bank policy. This morning a new pending charge from BB went through for the same amount, which means they've sent the authorization again. Hoping this means BB is getting ready to ship?

Hm, interesting point @jesmann

 

I have mine pre-ordered on samsung.com and I just checked, the option to cancel is no longer there, so it must be prepairing to ship. However, samsung.com guaranteed to deliver it by the 14th, today is 9th, and the next two days are a weekend, they say the order is delivered two days after it shipps... so technically, even if it shipps today, it might still be on track to be delivered on the 14th, maybe a day early.

I have read most of the posts on here &i just want clarification. I pre-ordered my s9 plus on-line on 3/2. I plan on trading my s7 in at the time i go to BB &get the s9 plus. Now i saw that one post said i can use the Gift Card towards the phone and i saw another post saying that i can only use my gift card if i pre-ordered in store. Which one is it?

Also, i still have the option to cancel online &i habw nothing pending on my account. Is my order still in process seeing how BB hasnt received the phones yet?

I think it means that only people who are physically coming inside the store to pick up their preorder S9 or S9+ Unlocked version can do the trade-in. And people who preordered for home delivery cannot.

Still no updates from Best Buy.  That's disappointing.  Some Verizon and T-mobile customers have received their preorder as early as today or have tracking to receive shortly.  Sprint has tracking to receive tomorrow and AT&T customers and people that ordered directly from Samsung have shipments coming by Wednesday.  But our orders just say pre-ordered and no updates at all.  Disappointment all around.
