Verify that the correct user is signed into the computer before syncing iTunes. If the incorrect user is signed in, quit iTunes before signing in as correct user and then re-open. Refer to Sign In / Sign Out – iTunes for assistance.
If syncing multiple devices, sign out of the iTunes store before connecting and syncing the next device. Refer to Sign In / Sign Out – iTunes for assistance.
Connect the iPad / iPhone to the computer using the USB cable. By default, iTunes opens automatically.
Select the iPad / iPhone under Devices on the left-hand side of iTunes. For iTunes version 11 or higher, select the iPad / iPhone button in the upper-right.
