There are movie franchises that I care a great deal about, likeAlienandStar Trek, and others that I really don’t that are still enormously popular, like theFast and FuriousandFriday the 13th. There are venerable film series that have been trundling along for decades with various degrees of success likeJames Bond. And then there’sMarvel’s Cinematic Universe, an ongoing series of films that have not failed to be excellent in nearly every way — even when I didn’t think they possibly could be.
The latest entry in the MCU,Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, adds yet another achievement to this series of films that already includes Iron Man, the Mighty Thor, Captain America, Doctor Strange, and a host of supporting heroes — and villains — in it’s ever expanding roster. A film critic once describedThe Lord of the Ringsas having more characters than the Bible. The MCU embodies this sentiment like no other film franchise since.
For many, the original Star Wars Battlefront series was full of classic fun filled nostalgia. Pandemics series was a childhood classic that let many relive countless Star Wars battles throughout the established era’s. So, when EA announced the revitalization of the series, many (including myself) were overcome with excitement and pure joy. Buzz and commotion sparked throughout the gaming industry about the return of the classic franchise championed by the legendary studio DICE. However, when EA’s Star Wars Battlefront released and the shiny new paint started to fade away, a large part of the community became very dissatisfied due to the lack of content. I am thrilled to say that EA’s Star Wars Battlefront II fixes that problem immensely and the beta only solidified my pre – order for this upcoming masterpiece.
Nintendo gave the world with their latest console in March. If you were like me, you probably knew that this meant we could expect our favorite jack-of-all-trades to be donning his overalls soon for another adventure. It didn’t take long for the announcement we all wanted to hear. Super Mario Odyssey is coming to the Switch.
Growing up in the 90’s my movie of choice to watch on repeat was The Lion King. I had everything The Lion King themed from the sheets to a Simba necklace I wore everywhere, and everyday for about a year.
As our lives become busier and we’re found to be spending more time on the move, we rely on our phones to be our central command for all our communications, and entertainment when you have a spare minute. Due to this it’s completely crucial that we keep our phones protected, and in working order.
